NEWBURGH, NEW YORK – The Pattern for Progress Center for Housing Solutions & Community Initiatives will host its 14th annual Hudson Valley Housing Forum on October 26, 27, and 28, 2021 with a daily session hosted on a virtual platform. Each session will feature housing experts on policy, research, data, as well as program practitioners to discuss solutions to the housing crisis. This year’s event titled, “A Housing Crisis: Finding a Place to Call Home,” will focus on the Hudson Valley region’s housing crisis – a severe lack of housing inventory evidenced by insatiable buyer demand, highly competitive bidding wars, and skyrocketing home prices.
The annual Hudson Valley Housing Forum gathers keynote speakers and panelists that are leaders in the housing industry to discuss trends and housing policy that impact the Hudson Valley region. Attendees in the fields of affordable housing, community development, real estate, municipal government, housing development, planning and engineering, and community lending will hear from dynamic national and regional speakers, and the conversations will be highly informative, provocative, and timely. Registrants will have the ability to select which days they attend – or choose to attend the 3-day series.
This year’s Housing Forum will highlight the issues and provide potential solutions to the challenges associated with increasing the supply of housing. Pattern is pleased to welcome nationally recognized speakers for conversations about best practices to address the housing crisis. Each session will wrap up with
“The Solutions Lounge,” where keynote speakers, panelists, and moderator will be available for a facilitated conversation about the challenges presented during the session to answer the question, “So…what are we going to do about it?”
