On May 8, the Business Council of Westchester officially unveiled the new Data Exchange Portal with research provided by Pattern for Progress. This initiative aims to give businesses, investors, civic groups, governments, and residents in the county access to the most relevant and up to date information about Westchester’s demographics, business climate, housing, education, and much more. Pattern was commissioned by the BCW last year to provide research for the project.
“This free, user-friendly, online portal will for the first time provide businesses, non-profits and the public with key data about Westchester all in one place,” said Marsha Gordon, President & CEO of the BCW. “It is a remarkable tool for economic development that will help spur the creative thinking and innovation we need to take that growth to the next level,” she added.
Pattern researched and designed the Westchester County Profile, a 40 page, comprehensive overview of the county across many different metrics. The Data Exchange project provides this basic data free of charge while offering the option for businesses or others who need deeper analysis of data and trends to commission more detailed reports on topics of interest.
“Giving people easy access to important data about our communities is what Pattern does best,” said Joe Czajka, Pattern’s Senior Vice President of Research, Development & Community Planning. “Collaborating with the BCW on this groundbreaking project really gave us a chance to highlight our research and data presentation skills,” he added.
