LUNCH AND LEARN:  THE TYLER DECISION 

In the 2023 case of Tyler v. Hennepin County, The U.S. Supreme Court found that government entities may not keep all the proceeds from foreclosure sales. The equity in foreclosed properties must be returned to the original owners. This ruling could have huge ramifications in the Hudson Valley, including for local governments, land banks and others.
