The U.S. Census Bureau County Business Pattens (CBP) comes from employer establishments in the Business Register. The CBP data includes the number of employer establishments, number of employees, and average annual pay per employee. According to the 2019 data (most recent data year) the number of employees has increased in every county in the Hudson Valley region since 2015. The greatest percent increase was in Sullivan County which saw an increase of 15.7% in the number of employees. Rockland County followed with an increase of 10.7%, and then Columbia County with a 8.0% increase. Ulster County had the smallest percent increase at 2.8%.
